Picking up the Pieces plot
Tex (Woody Allen), a New York butcher has a problem. He killed his wife Candy in a fit of jealousy. After cutting her up, he heads for the Mexican border. On the way, however, he loses a hand. An old blind woman finds the hand and can spontaneously see again. Soon the local church is overrun by thousands who want to see the hand of the 'Madonna'. But the priest, who is in love with the village whore, does not trust the case. Tex and the sheriff both want something 'wrong' to be done.
