Pas sur la Bouche plot

During her stay in the United States, Gilberte first married an American, Eric Thomson. Their marriage ended in a fizzle. But this marriage was never legalized by the French consulate and thus is not recognized in France. Once back in France, Gilberte marries Georges Valandray, a metal worker. Georges, who believes that you can only be happy in a marriage if you are her first, is left in the dark about Gilberte's first marriage to Eric Thomson. Only Gilberte's sister, Arlette Poumaillac, is aware of the first marriage. But what happens when Georges Valandray, purely by chance, goes into business with Eric Thomson and they get along?
