Oviedo Express plot
A theater group arrives in Oviedo to perform Leopoldo Alas' 19th-century classic "La Regenta". The group includes the arrogant Benjamin, who is married to Mariola, the leading woman of the group. Then there is the depressed and alcoholic Alvaro, who is hopelessly in love with Mariola. Ernesto is the mayor of Oviedo, who is married to the young student Emma. Emma's mother, the mad widow Mina, claims that Emma's father was an angel. Meanwhile, Ernesto has an affair with journalist Barbara. And when Benjamin falls in love with Emma, drama is guaranteed.
