Old Man Rhythm plot
When John Roberts Sr., the co-owner of the Roberts Doll Manufacturing Company in Silverton, New York, learns from his assistant Paul Parker that his son Johnny is spending more time with college student Marion Beecher than college or high school sweetheart Edith Warren , he immediately leaves for Fairfield College to assess the situation for himself. John is unable to stop his son from letting go of Marion. John then decides to enroll in Fairfield College as a freshman to keep an eye on his son's activities. John quickly becomes Fairfield's most popular student, making Pinky, Paul Parker's shy son, his confidante.
