Obliging Young Lady plot

"Step right up and meet the cutest little bundle of tricks the Screen has discovered in years. She's only seven...but she can out-think and out-talk a battery of lawyers who want to keep her from her parents."

Linda Norton is assigned by her employer's lawyer to take young Bridget Potter, whose wealthy parents are embroiled in a divorce case, to a remote country retreat to protect the girl from newspaper reporters and publicity. Coming to the same resort are Red Reddy, an aspiring novelist with plans to also continue an earlier brief acquaintance with Linda; Charles Baker, Linda's fiancé; a snooping private detective; and Space O'Shea, who hopes to get a story about Bridget and her divorce-seeking parents. The resort is also hosting a convention meeting of a group of bird lovers led by the prudish Gibney. The mix gives rise to more than a few situations.
