Pae is underperforming at his new high school. A short film competition is his only chance to go to college and avoid a job in his father's flour mill. Pae thinks that the recent death of his classmate Joe provides sufficient emotional clues and starts a short film project with his fellow students, in which hype makes way for hope. But when a good friend of Joe's returns to school after illness, the group's great plans fall apart.
