Mister Sister plot

"Shine. Shine you crazy diamond!"

Jordan is a heartbroken musician who leaves his hometown because he doesn't feel at home there. He arrives in New York City and just as he loses all hope, he meets transvestite Charmaine who takes him to a popular hangout spot. Jordan feels right at home and reinvents himself as Mister Sister, a nun who insults the club's customers, much to their delight. At work, Jordan meets the shy, sweet-natured waitress Marie and the two fall in love. He then tries to let go of his past, grow up and find his place in the world.
