Mister Antonio plot

"Laugh Along the Road to Romance with Mr. Antonio, His Strange Caravan and his Delightful Dialect."

In New York City, florist and street musician Antonio Camaradonio befriends a man who has been robbed of his overcoat and money in a notorious bar. Antonio recognizes the man as Milton Jorny, mayor of Avalonia, a deeply conservative town where he was once arrested for playing his hurdy-gurdy. Over time, Antonio's travels bring him back to Avalonia. On the outskirts of town, he meets June Ramsey, a cousin of Milton's wife, who was banished because the mayor feared her penchant for gaiety would jeopardize his re-election.
