Ollie Radway is a quirky widow who runs a thriving newspaper with her equally eccentric brother John. After firing the editor-in-chief for failing to keep her cousin Virginia away from the newspaper business, she gives the job to David Partridge, an underage employee who has a crush on the girl. Partridge is assigned to keep Virginia away from fortune-hunting editor Dimitri Kyeff.
