Mamaros plot

A middle-aged camera operator still lives with his mother in Belgrade. In 1999 NATO starts bombing Serbia and the two become refugees. After a surrealistic journey they end up in New York. There he realizes that he can no longer do his old job, which he loved so much. While he and his mother try to survive in the metropolis, the new era of 'Cinema Digital Projection' begins. Some old, discarded projectors give him an idea. He makes it his mission to travel around and let people experience the magic of real cinema, still made with film reels, mechanical projectors, on the big screen and with flickering lights.
