Love and Learn plot

Jingles Collins and Bob Grant are two little-successful undiscovered songwriters from Tin Pan Alley. So much so that Bob gives up and heads back to Small Town. In a last-ditch effort to convince Bob to stay, Jingles and his girlfriend Jackie take him to Danceland. Here he meets Babs who pretends to be a dancer in the club. Bob is inspired to save Babs from the life she doesn't live. Elsewhere, wealthy heiress Barbara Wyngate is annoyed by the social conventions that limit her and the impending marriage to the seedy Willard.
