Little Egypt plot
"THE SHAPE THAT SHOOK THE WORLD!"
Chicago, 1893. Izora is a dancer in a classical cabaret in Cairo. American impresario Cyrus Graydon hopes to recreate the authentic atmosphere surrounding Izora's performance at the 'World's Fair' in Chicago. To achieve this, he befriends the smooth talker and organizer Wayne Cravat. Graydon's plan succeeds, only Izora must impersonate an Egyptian princess. Commissioned by Cravat, Izora performs belly dancing to attract extra customers to the 'World's Fair'. However, this results in a storm of indignation among the local reserve authorities, who subsequently have Izora arrested for lewd behavior.
