Joe Blake is unlucky in love and recently fired. He wants to put an end to it and offers Elmer Zilch all his possessions if he can give him a gentle death. The next day, Joe has a change of heart and learns that he has inherited a fortune. However, Zilch wants to keep him to the agreement and collect the inheritance himself.
