Le Roi de Paris plot

During the 1930s, a battle raged in Paris between theatre, silent film and the emerging sound film. Victor Derval, the acting king of the city, thinks the talk film is a monstrous invention. Meanwhile, he takes an admiring, ambitious little actress as a personal assistant. Derval's son Paul also likes her and that deepens the hatred for his father.
