Le Passe-Muraille plot
A humble registrar at the registry office leads a peaceful single life in Montmartre, until one day he realizes that he has a special gift for walking through walls. He uses his gift sparingly at first, but gradually it makes life easier for him. He takes revenge for the humiliations of his office manager and robs banks by signing his crimes under the pseudonym Garou-Garou.
