Le Jardinier plot

The story is set in an undetermined era, before a war that will destroy everything. The inhabitants of a sad place and without zest for life present themselves every morning at the entrance of a factory. The chances of them being recruited are slim and the work is absurd. Their only reward is some water and a few pieces of colorful paper from canned goods boxes that they have to put together like a puzzle. The winner will have the opportunity to become an overseer and also a small factory gardener.
