Le Café du Pont plot

1947. Café du Pont tells the story of the childhood of Pierrot and his brother, who live in a small village on the riverbank of the Garonne, in southwestern France. Their parents work hard to make ends meet, in the cafe that is the center of life for everyone who lives in this small village. The war and the occupation have left their mark. Despite the rigors of school, Pierrot has plenty of time left for fun. He discovers music, learns to play the saxophone and gives his first concerts for the customers of Café du Pont. Everyone in the family works together to fulfill father Pierrot's dream: to open a grand ballroom in the village...
