In a small Sicilian town, young Rosaria is "dishonored" by her two friends, Toto and Nicola. Tradition dictates that one of the two marries the girl, but because the boys refuse, the bomb explodes. The pair each hire an excellent lawyer and are acquitted. But Toto then begins to love Rosario and Nicola falls in love with her best friend Carmelina...
