La Giacca Verde plot

A famous guest conductor recognizes in the timpani player his former friend from the period in hiding at the end of the Second World War. At the time, his boasting about a great musical career was the subject of ridicule and jokes for the conductor, but his eventual acceptance of his own mediocrity casts the gifted friend into doubt about his talent and moral responsibility.
