Khook plot
Hasan, a blacklisted director, is seething with anger. It has been years since he was allowed to make a film. The actress he made a star and who he is in love with now wants to make a movie with another director. He and his wife have drifted apart and his daughter is also about to break the bond. In addition, his old mother, who lives with them, seems to be losing her mind. Worst of all, however, is the murder of filmmakers in and around Tehran. But why are they ignoring him? His frustration is compounded when, as a result of a series of bizarre misunderstandings, he becomes the prime suspect.

I'm not used to seeing some kind of comedy from Iran. But I did like this one. Not that everything was successful and here and there there were also some dead moments, but I could agree with the plot development. Hassan, rather a second-tier director, is somewhat torsed with the idea that his (more successful) fellow directors are being murdered one by one. He is jealous that he is not a target of the serial killer, but at the same time he is sad because of the events. Add to that the feud he has with that other director Saidi and you feel that an energetic film is coming.
It is also the circumstances and the rather naive view of Hassan that ensure that he soon gets into trouble and the appearances are against him. Quite an entertaining comedy. Not always great, but quite entertaining.
