"On active Self-Service!"
Britain. While posters urge wartime frugality and vigilance, 'Joey Boy' Thompson has never had it better. A gambling club flourishes in a cellar below his fish shop. But “La Dolce Vita” takes a big dent when the police invade. They present Joey and the rest of the rascals with a stark choice: enlist for military service or tour the four cell walls. So the boys set out for Italy, determined to make the most of it.
