Journalist Kate wants to make a poignant piece about the marriage advertisements in the newspapers. She places such an ad and waits... In Los Angeles, lawyer Joe bets his friend Robert that, after two weeks out with a suitor from the newspaper, he can't keep his hands off her. Robert chooses Kate's ad for Joe. She flies to Los Angeles in hopes of making the ultimate interview and he keeps his hands deep in his pockets, thinking only of the yacht he can win with the bet. It is the beginning of a series of problems and unexpected situations...
