Hot Tomorrows plot

Bronx-raised Michael (Ken Lerner) tries to make it as a writer in Los Angeles. He is working on a story about his great-aunt's suicide when Louis (Ray Sharkey), an old friend from the Bronx, comes to visit him. They decide to spend their last few dollars together on Christmas Eve on a number of drinks in different bars. On their journey they meet all kinds of strange people.
