Hors Jeu plot

Angelo is 35 and lives in a room in Belleville. He is an actor but to make ends meet he occasionally works on a construction site with his two friends Mousse and Kiki from the Bar chez Papie. Everyone thinks Angelo is a nice guy, but nobody believes him anymore when he meets Concepcion at the casting for a commercial. She is thirty, Spanish, actress, vibrant with zest for life. She also has money problems. The casting will be nothing for both of them, but it will be the beginning of another, Love story? And now the dream turns out to be a reality. Angelo is selected among the last candidates for the lead role in a movie, a gangster role. Angelo exerts himself, goes jogging, exercises in front of the mirror, his friends even start to believe him. But Angelo doesn't get the roll. The same evening they are all waiting for him in the Bar chez Papie, the buddies and Concepcion. And when Angelo finds them gathered there, he doesn't have the courage to tell them the truth. And in the early morning hours he is confronted, alone, with his lie. He then decides to visit Concepcion to tell her everything. But there awaits an unlikely surprise that will involve the couple in a wild hostage affair involving five French film stars.
