"It's Christmas time in the city."

Tom runs a well-known newspaper, and tries to buy a smaller one. Reporter Liz saves the newspaper from ruin by writing a column about Christmas. Tom takes up the fight, and writes a column in his newspaper. However, the competition soon turns to passion, and a romantic Christmas follows.
