Hauptmann Florian von der Mühle plot

The miller and former captain Florian has already given his money for the war against Napoleon. When he does not receive compensation for his destroyed mill after the war, but also has to pay taxes for it, he travels to Vienna to enforce his rights before Congress. Along the way, he saves the life of the Duchess of Guastalla in a robbery. She also wants to fight for her rights before the Congress of Vienna, because Emperor Franz II makes her inheritance illegal. After some entanglements and fights, the crafty Florian and the beautiful Countess get their rights... and become a couple.
