Harsnatsun Hyusisits plot

Artak meets Valya while serving in the Soviet army in the Russian countryside. But Valya's mother refuses to let her only daughter accompany him to "these distant highlands, where earthquakes are constantly occurring." So Artak is forced to ask his contrasting and numerous relatives—Armenian villagers—to visit a remote Russian village to bring a bride to Armenia.
