Goodbye Broadway plot

Pat and Molly Malloy were once famous entertainers, performing on Broadway. Together with a dance company, singers, a trained dog and a well-trained seal, they arrive in the small town of Hamilton, Connecticut. Harry Clark, the clerk of the neglected 'Swanzey Hotel', is quite rude to Pat and then Pat wants to buy this hotel for $4,000. Molly and Pat had actually saved this amount to buy a farm to retire from in the future. Pat can fire Harry after the sale. However, the local miser JA Higgins also wants to own the hotel
