Get-Rich-Quick Wallingford plot

Two con artists, Blackie Daw and J. Rufus Wallingford, arrive in Battlesburg, Iowa. There, they defraud the local townspeople by posing as wealthy businessmen. They use the town's money to develop plans for a factory to produce carpet tacks, thus creating a major boost in the real estate market.
