Joanna Schwartzbaum (Buono) is a bored New York housewife who is shocked one day when she has a close encounter with an alien. Joanna seeks support from a 'UFO self-help group', where she encounters kindred spirit Abraham (De Bankolé), an immigrant from the Ivory Coast who earns a living selling counterfeit brand watches. The pair decide to investigate, leading Joanna's wife to think she's either crazy or cheating.
