Frau Luna plot

This film is set around 1900. Paul Lincke's opera "Frau Luna" is banned by the strict vice squad because of the offensive dresses. In order to be able to perform the comedy, the theater board has to win over all 'moral guards'. However, when the censorship officials become acquainted with Vera Waldner, who plays the lead role in the play, they appear to have double standards.
