Forbidden Paradise plot

Captain Alexei Czerny (Rod La Rocque) rescues Czarina Catherine (Pola Negri) from the hands of the revolutionaries. The handsome army captain falls in love with the queen, but he is soon forced to realize that he has a long line of people waiting in front of him. Angry, the hot-headed Czerny joins the revolution, but when the uprising fails, he is sentenced to the death penalty.
