Five and Ten Cent Annie plot

Street sweeper Elmer Peck is in love with Annie, the saleswoman in a five-and-ten-cent store. Elmer inherits a large fortune from an eccentric uncle. In a special provision, this uncle states that the property goes to his faithful servant Briggs should Elmer die without being married before. Briggs then kidnaps Elmer to prevent him from marrying Annie.
