El Comediante plot

Gabriel declines an invitation to go on an intergalactic journey, partly because he gets the chance to become a father. However, his finances are crumbling, his career as a comedian is not taking off and his energies are focused on an ambitious script about the arrival of the first man on Mars. With every decision he makes, the likelihood of failure in his life grows as he searches for his place in the universe.
