Dubbel Zes plot
Spoiled slob Annabel manages to lose almost everything she has in one night: her inheritance, her house and her relationship. And that on her birthday... To make matters worse, the evening ends in jail. When the gunpowder smoke has cleared, Annabel realizes that she has to get to work. Only changing yourself... that is not something you do just like that. And Annabel also turns out to have very little talent for it. The problems pile up and eventually Annabel gets completely entangled in one clumsy lie after another, the choice between two men and even two identities.

Reasonable film about a young woman who has squandered her inheritance in a few years. A fairly typical romcom with a predictable progression and which in terms of story goes a bit off track in the second half. Smoothly told and smoothly edited and the short playing time works in its favor. Abbey Hoes has enough charm to carry the film. A small 3.0 stars.

Annabel [Abbey Hoes] has squandered a multi-million dollar inheritance and is desperate for a fresh start. She's considering selling her apartment to Jan Roet [Jim Bakkum], who has rented the ground floor from her for his veterinary practice. Because of Annabel's promiscuous lifestyle and selfish behavior (Jan's colleague Puck [Soumaya Ahouaoui] is driven mad by the packages she has to accept on Annabel's behalf), she has to work hard to convince Jan. This formulaic romantic comedy starts off on a low note with Hoes's lousy performance as a drunken woman. Unfortunately, things don't get much better, mainly because Annabel remains an annoying, selfish brat —until the inevitable denouement, of course. Based on the novel of the same name by Daphne Deckers.
