Du Haut en Bas plot
A number of tenants of an apartment complex are being followed. Michel Simon plays someone who never pays his rent and Jean Gabin plays the janitor's cousin, a football hero who still has a few things to learn. A young woman, who graduated in geography, works in the complex as a chambermaid. She is treated unpleasantly by her employers. The woman is always grumpy and the man forces himself on her.
