Die Ehe des Herrn Mississippi plot

Attorney General Florestan Mississippi wants to reshape the world with the law of Moses: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. However, his childhood friend Saint-Claude sees the teachings of Karl Marx as salvation. The third do-gooder and dreamer is the Christian Count Bodo von Überlohe-Zabernsee. In the center is Anastasia who has poisoned her husband. She has confessed to the murder to Mississippi and in return he also wants to kill his unfaithful wife so that both can get married afterwards.
