Dessau Dancers plot

Dessau, 1985. Breakdance also finds its way to the German Democratic Republic through the American film 'Beat Street'. The 18-year-old Frank and his friends are completely obsessed with this new dance style and even set up their own dance group: the 'Break Beaters'. Like their movie heroes the 'Steady Crew' and the 'New York City Breakers', the boys just dance in the street. But the crowds around the newly formed dance group are viewed very critically by the East German government.
