Der Wunschzettel plot
Pauline Schwebe finds the handwritten Christmas wish from young Leo on the pole of a traffic sign. He asks Santa to send a lonely soul to his family so they can celebrate Christmas together. Pauline's heart immediately overflows, she rings the doorbell with the family and persuades single father Daniel to spend Christmas with her and her family. However, Pauline's parents mistake Daniel as her long-awaited new boyfriend and the two are forced to maintain the lie.
