Der Täter plot
Jakob is an old school gentleman villain. Professionally supported by his accomplice Fanni, for many years he has led a double life that even his own daughter knows nothing about. In principle, Jakob has only two weaknesses: the art of always committing the robbery with the same elegance and his not so healthy heart. Especially changing the different identities, from Jacob-the-father to Jacob-the-art thief, gnaws at his conscience and becomes more and more a problem. One night during 'work' it happens and just as Jacob gets his hands on a beautiful Monet, he has a mild heart attack. Only thanks to his determination can he get away, overcome by the fear of the unknown.
