Since Deacon Perkins once sold a blind horse to banker David Harum, the two have been rivals for years. They continue the horse business and both are determined to do better than the other. After their last horse trade, Perkins seems to be the winner. Harum is now saddled with a 'racehorse' that simply refuses to gallop. But then Harum accidentally discovers that the horse is a trotter and not a racehorse.
