Judy and her wealthy grandfather Silas Jones are both very stubborn people, who are often at odds with each other. During one of their encounters, she runs away, only to marry a man her grandfather hates. However, the man refuses to marry her for the time being, after which she meets another man, Jimmy. He is a poor slob and has no idea that Judy is very rich and offers to help her with a job. It soon becomes clear that Judy has practically forgotten about the first man and is now in love with Jimmy. But what will Grandfather think of this new man?
