Commis d'Office plot

Daniel Wang, an Asian chef, is attacked by Lila, an unemployed young woman attempting to steal his recipe. During the altercation, Daniel sustains serious injuries to his hands, rendering him unable to cook and plunging him into a hopeless financial situation. A member of parliament working on a bill allowing suspects to be placed at the disposal of victims proposes to the sentencing judge that this specific case be used as a test: although they are diametrically opposed, Lila is forced to work as the chef's assistant during his rehabilitation period.
