Coiffeur pour Dames plot
Marius is a shepherd, but his ambitions reach further and he decides to move to Marseille. There he is hired as a dog hairdresser and later he becomes responsible for the wig department in a doll store. There he meets Aline, a charming young woman, whom he marries. They decide to settle in Paris, where Marius starts a brilliant career as a hairdresser under the pseudonym "Mario". He becomes more and more involved in his business, neglecting his wife and allowing himself to be seduced by the daughter of a wealthy client. Aline, modesty herself, realizes that she must take action if she is not to lose Mario.
