Chip Off the Old Block plot
"HERE IT COMES! AN AVALANCHE OF ENTERTAINMENT!"
After writing, directing and starring in the Sperling Naval Academy's annual musical show, young cadet Donald Corrigan must appear before Dean Manning for his many misbehaviours. Instead of sending Donald from the Academy, Manning sends him home on extended leave. Donald may return as soon as he improves his behavior. During his train journey to New York, Donald Glorie meets Marlow III and immediately falls in love with her. Glory Marlow III, who grew up in Hawaii with her aunt and uncle, tells Donald that she is on her way to New York to live with her mother and grandmother, two famous musical theater actresses.
