Bring It All Back Home plot

Eddie Backus, 35, has not been seen in five years. He was a star athlete in high school, but after a brief professional career with a bruised knee, he disappeared. When he suddenly reappears in his hometown, suburban South Chicago, on a cocaine-inspired “mission from God,” he is reunited with his childhood sweetheart. She is happily married. He also sees his best friend again, who has a good job and a new family. And then there is his brother, Elvis, who is addicted to alcohol. Eddie is determined to reclaim the promise of his lost youth.
