Based on Ronald Alexander's play "Time Out for Ginger". Patty Duke plays a boyish teenager who is good at sports, but for whom it is impossible to have a social life. Her parents sometimes think it's time for their daughter to really become their "daughter" again, especially since her father is running for the mayoral elections.
