Bijlmer Odyssee plot
On the night before she leaves for New York, Penny meets Otis, a boy who seems much more than a one-night stand. She takes him to her flat in the Bijlmer and they experience a special night together. It ends abruptly when Otis decides to get some food from a nearby snack bar. On the way back he gets lost in the labyrinth of similar looking flats. He also realizes that he knows nothing about Penny: not her address, not even her name. Desperately looking for his beloved, he encounters more and less well-meaning local residents: junkies, snack bar owners and an entire Indian family, who cares about the fate of the fledgling couple.
