Big Boy plot

Gus (Al Jolson) is a stable boy who works on a moss-covered plantation in the southern United States. Gus' favorite horse is the beautiful 'Big Boy', with whom he hopes to win the Kentucky Derby. However, due to a misunderstanding, Gus is fired from his job. Working as a singing waiter, Gus manages to get to Louisville during the week of the derby.
