Popularized in the early 1800s as a means of training young bodies in the service of the state, the undokai, the Japanese sports day, has become a delightful way to compete and train the body as if to the political body. to reinforce. The wealthier residents of Todorokicho use this chauvinistic tradition to vigorously protest a proposal that would allow their often illegal and foreign neighbors, known as gaijin, to participate in the local undokai. There is by definition no place for them in such a Japanese institution. The wealthy Matsumoto (Furuta Arata) and the police chief (Tobayama Bunmei) decide to admit the gaijin to Sports Day as a devious way to wipe the city clean of these people once and for all. Unaware of this, local shopkeeper Shinohara (Kawamura Kamon) enlists the good-for-nothing Yoshi (Nozawa Hideyuki) and the tough barmaid Yuki (Suzuki Saiko) to organize a team around the residents of Yoshi's cheap yet international guesthouse Hotel Hyatto. Their team, however, appears to be no match for Matsumoto's squad, which includes former major league and NBA stars.
